Conference spotlights nationwide efforts to include and empower people with disabilities

    18 December 2025.  The conference, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, brought together representatives of government, academia, and civil society to address disability within a framework of rights and national responsibility, rather than charity or sympathy.     Ministry of Health launches plan to deliver high quality medical services, putting people first

      16 December 2025.  Syria’s Minister of Health, Musab al-Ali, unveiled a three-year plan to make quality health services available to all citizens across the country, based on fairness and transparency, as aligned with current challenging realities.           Syria’s energy renaissance continues with launch of major power plant

            3 December 2025.  In less than a year since liberation, Syria has launched four gas power plants and many renewable energy projects, forming a solid foundation for the country’s development. The plant in Deir Ezzor will stabilize the energy grid and be “a station for revival, development, and the spread of light across Syria,” said the energy minister.Read more at:  SANA

            Syria’s first printed newspaper since liberation creates platform for free and open dialogue

              2 December 2025.  The paper’s editor-in-chief stated at the opening ceremony: “Our gathering today is to witness the birth of a newspaper worthy of the new Syria, a newspaper that lives up to the sacrifices and sufferings of Syrians over 14 years.” It will foster free and transparent dialogue to restore public trust.Read more at:  LEVANT24

              Residents raise $2.8 million in show of solidarity to restore their town

                2 December 2025.  As with similar initiatives across Syria where citizens are partnering with the state to rebuild, residents of Jdeidet Artouz raised substantial funds to meet the town’s essential needs and upgrade its infrastructure.                   Students’ innovations help drive nation’s technical modernization and reconstruction

                    10 November 2025.  Damascus University’s annual program showcases the ingenuity of engineering students, in an effort to bridge academia and industry.                     IMF offers technical support for Syria’s state budget and financial stabilization

                      28 October 2025.  An IMF mission arrived in Damascus to begin technical cooperation with the Finance Ministry, in areas including fiscal reform and public finance.                       Syrian President visits Moscow to redefine relations with Russia

                        18 October 2025.  During his first official visit to Moscow, President al-Sharaa sought to reset Syrian–Russian relations.                         Japan partners with Syria to restore old cities of Damascus and Aleppo—UNESCO World Heritage Sites

                          14 October 2025.  Japanese experts in urban planning visited Damascus to discuss an initiative for rebuilding two cities of major historical significance that were badly damaged in Syria’s civil war.                           President calls for global support to rebuild Syria on popular American TV news program
