      Aga Khan Development Network expands commitment to the Syrian people

              20 December 2025.  President Al-Sharaa addressed citizens by video at the opening of the “Aleppo the best of all” campaign. Asserting the region’s vital role in national recovery, he stressed the need to eradicate poverty as the first step.                 World Bank grant will help restore Syria’s power infrastructure

                  12 December 2025.  With its first initiative in Syria for nearly forty years, the World Bank has agreed to support government efforts to improve electricity availability and strengthen the national economy.                   Syria’s energy renaissance continues with launch of major power plant

                    3 December 2025.  In less than a year since liberation, Syria has launched four gas power plants and many renewable energy projects, forming a solid foundation for the country’s development. The plant in Deir Ezzor will stabilize the energy grid and be “a station for revival, development, and the spread of light across Syria,” said the energy minister.Read more at:  SANA

                    IMF team states Syria’s economy shows early signs of recovery and offers support

                      18 November 2025.  The IMF announced a program of intensive cooperation with Syria, offering technical assistance to strengthen all aspects of the financial system.
