New Syrian TV channel begins broadcasting under theme: “Syria Embraces All”

    19 February 2026.  Al-Souriya TV describes itself as a family and community oriented channel designed to be a national platform that addresses social and economic issues, with audience participation.     A Quiet Revolution

      A quiet revolution is taking place in Syria today. Its source is an approach to national unity and peace rooted in inclusion, mutual dignity, and shared responsibility. This essay highlights a dramatic example of change in an area heavily conflicted for decades, where armed violence broke out last year several months after the new government came to power, and where police officers from groups once considered mortal enemies now serve side by side. Syria’s new leaders are modeling pathways to peace that speak to the challenges of human coexistence in a divided world.

      New leadership program will train officials to include disabled people in public and private arenas

        7 February 2026.  The Social Affairs and Labor Ministry and the Saïd Foundation for Development have launched a training program aimed at improving the capacity of public and private institutions to serve people with disabilities.         Syrian government restores Aleppo’s ancient Jewish sites to group led by Syrian-American Jews

          3 February 2026.  The Syrian government transferred control of religious sites in Aleppo, once a thriving center of Jewish life, to the Jewish Heritage in Syria Foundation. The group is “committed to helping build a pluralistic, prosperous and democratic Syria.” Henry Hamra, one of the founders, observed: “Syrian people are very loving people and they’re very welcoming.”Read more at: NPR.ORG

          Finland and UNICEF will foster inclusive education and protection for vulnerable Syrian children

                              Syria transforms detention center into environment for rehabilitation

                                17 November 2025.  Social affairs minister Kabawat inaugurated the first juvenile detention center in Tartous, aiming to include modern educational and psychological programs to aid children’s reintegration into society.
