    Literature of Syrian revolution to be preserved, honoring nation’s sacrifices for freedom

      9 November 2025.  The Arab Writers Union established a new unit to document the literature of Syria’s revolution, preserving the poetry, novels, short stories and theatre born of the struggle. In 2026, the union plans to train 5,000 young Syrians to write about war, victory, heroism, and the daily lives of Syrians during the revolution.Read more at:  LEVANT24

        9 November 2025.  Sponsored by the White Heart Foundation for Development and local organizations, the market attracted 230 artisans and entrepreneurs who shared their crafts, foods, and innovative projects.           UN lifts sanctions on Ahmad al-Sharaa marking shift in Syria’s global standing

            8 November 2025.  In a nearly unanimous vote, the Security Council lifted sanctions on Syrian President Ahmad al‑Sharaa, along with Syria’s Interior Minister, Anas Khattab.               6 November 2025.  Syria’s Missing Persons Commission announced a formal agreement with three major international organizations to discover the fate of hundreds of thousands of missing and forcibly disappeared people, which remains a deep wound to families and to the nation.Read more at:  LEVANT24

              Syria reinstates diplomats who defected from former regime

                4 November 2025.  Minister al‑Shaibani praised the stances taken by the diplomats in their efforts to expose the “crimes of the defunct regime,” while valuing their alignment with the “just cause” of the people.                   IMF offers technical support for Syria’s state budget and financial stabilization

                    28 October 2025.  An IMF mission arrived in Damascus to begin technical cooperation with the Finance Ministry, in areas including fiscal reform and public finance.                     “Your Country, Your Responsibility” group organizes event to honor Syria’s cultural legacy

                      28 October 2025.  Lattakia’s National Museum celebrated the restoration of its 17th century edifice with dance, art, and film, showcasing Syria’s rich and diverse heritage.                       Qatari-Saudi grant of $89M will support public sector salaries and the nation’s stability

                        28 October 2025.  With help from the UNDP, Syria will begin to disburse a $28 million monthly grant, over three months, to cover part of public sector employees’ wages.
