Peace in Syria declared essential to stability of Mediterranean countries and European security

    22 October 2025.  The MED9 Summit signalled a turning point in Syria’s regional reintegration, with leaders of the 9 nations agreeing that peace in Syria is a cornerstone of the region’s security.     Digital transformation of nation’s encyclopedia underway to safeguard vast cultural heritage

      20 October 2025.  Syria’s Arabic Encyclopedia, a leading scientific, cultural and educational organization, is digitizing its archives to share Syria’s intellectual legacy with global researchers and future generations.       Syrian President visits Moscow to redefine relations with Russia

        18 October 2025.  During his first official visit to Moscow, President al-Sharaa sought to reset Syrian–Russian relations.         Japan partners with Syria to restore old cities of Damascus and Aleppo—UNESCO World Heritage Sites

          14 October 2025.  Japanese experts in urban planning visited Damascus to discuss an initiative for rebuilding two cities of major historical significance that were badly damaged in Syria’s civil war.
