Syria joins military drills in Turkey alongside NATO nations

    23 May 2026.  Syria joined military training exercises in Turkey along with 50 other nations—the first time the Syrian army has participated in exercises outside the country.                 International community backs Syria’s ceasefire agreement with SDF

                  21 January 2026.  The US, the EU, Turkey and several Arab countries express broad support for Syria’s territorial unity, seeing the deal as a turning point in political and security spheres.                   Syria’s energy renaissance continues with launch of major power plant

                    3 December 2025.  In less than a year since liberation, Syria has launched four gas power plants and many renewable energy projects, forming a solid foundation for the country’s development. The plant in Deir Ezzor will stabilize the energy grid and be “a station for revival, development, and the spread of light across Syria,” said the energy minister.Read more at:  SANA

                    Syria returns to the world as a free nation, reopening major embassies

                      15 November 2025.  Syria has reopened embassies in the US and UK, preparing for Turkey next, as it moves to restore formal ties with the West and with regional powers.                       Turkish humanitarian agency expands mission in Syria

                        2 October 2025.  With the opening of its Damascus office, Turkey’s IHH Foundation extends its humanitarian reach across Syria, while aiming to improve efficiency and coordination with local communities. Turkey’s Charge d’Affaires described the new office as a step toward greater support of Syria’s reconstruction and recovery from crippling damages.                         Gas pipeline boosts Syria’s recovery along with regional solidarity

                          5 August 2025.  Syria, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Qatar cooperated in launching a natural gas pipeline supplying Azerbaijani gas to Syria via Turkey, funded by Qatar. Completed in record time, the project aims to revitalize Syria’s economy by improving the electricity supply for rebuilding the economy and people’s lives.                           Turkey to aid in rebuilding and expanding Syria’s damaged educational system

                            11 July 2025. Syria and Turkey signed a protocol to rehabilitate war-damaged schools, expand educational opportunities, and strengthen cultural ties. Turkey will aid in school reconstruction and technical support. The agreement includes licensing Turkish schools in Syria, mutual support for staff permits, teacher training, curriculum reform, and vocational education. A joint working group will oversee implementation, with plans for a broader education pact and bilingual programs underway.Read more at: ENAB BALADI

                            Syria signs a $7 billion deal to double its electricity supply

                              29 May 2025. The Syria Power Revival Initiative, a multi-national consortium of companies from Qatar, Turkey, and the US, aims to double the energy supply in a nation facing devastating shortages.
