    Syria’s participation in June G7 talks signals another step in international financial integration

      18 May 2026.  Syria has been invited to join a closed G7 financial session next month, discussing the country’s sustainable recovery and reintegration into the global system, along with its position in the shifting Middle East landscape.       Syria celebrates national winners of Arab Reading Challenge

        12 May 2026.  Syria honored its top Arab Reading Challenge participants, chosen from 1.3 million students at 6,000 schools to represent Syria in the final challenge along with students from 60 nations.         President al-Sharaa joins emergency meeting on Middle East crisis with regional and European leaders

          9 March 2026.  During the video conference called by European leaders, Syria’s president spoke of threats to regional stability and energy routes, calling the escalation of war “an existential threat to the entire region.” He said Damascus was coordinating with regional governments to establish a unified position.Read more at:  LEVANT24

          Syria assumes leadership position in global war on terror

            10 February 2026.  After rejoining the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS last year, Syria is now taking a leadership role.               Syria weaves itself back into the fabric of nations with 21 foreign visits

                6 December 2025.  During his first year in office, President al-Sharaa visited numerous world leaders, signalling Syria’s return to Arab and global diplomacy.                 Qatari-Saudi grant of $89M will support public sector salaries and the nation’s stability

                  28 October 2025.  With help from the UNDP, Syria will begin to disburse a $28 million monthly grant, over three months, to cover part of public sector employees’ wages.                   President affirms territorial sovereignty and independence as Syria rebuilds its economy

                    13 September 2025.  In a wide-ranging interview, president al-Sharaa stressed the need for calm relations with all nations as Syria recovers. Emphasizing the primacy of the people’s safety and well-being, he explained that a stable economy involves more than trade and investment. It requires reforming the judicial and educational systems, developing human resources, and providing energy, services, roads, communications, and open relations with neighboring countries, all of which are underway.Read more at:  SANA

                      President visits northern cities devastated by war, declaring end of time of war and start of reconstruction

                        30 August 2025.  During a tour through Homs, Hama and Idlib, President al-Sharaa advanced major development projects and met with local communities, affirming a new phase of reconstruction and investment. In Homs, he laid the foundation stone for Dar-al-Salam [House of Peace], a billion-dollar urban project that includes housing for low-income families and families of martyrs. In Hama, he praised the city’s role in the revolution and linked it to rebuilding efforts. In Idlib, he toured heavily damaged towns and reaffirmed the province as a “key pillar for moving toward the project of the modern national state.”Read more at: LEVANT24

                        President al-Sharaa shares his views of Israel, Hezbollah, Lebanon, and SDF

                          25 August 2025.  At a meeting with an Arab media delegation, President al-Sharaa confirmed Syria’s ongoing talks with Israel, saying he would not hesitate to make: “any agreement or decision that serves the interests of Syria and the region,” but that any deal must honour the 1974 armistice line. He said the new Syria would not be used to settle scores with Hezbollah, that “Lebanon must benefit from Syria’s renaissance,” and that it’s important to free the collective memory from burdens of the past.Read more at: ENAB BALADI

                          Over $6 billion in investments pledged for Syria’s economic revival

                            28 July 2025.  The Syrian-Saudi Investment Forum held in Damascus, under President Ahmad al-Sharaa’s patronage, is expected to have transformative impacts on Syria’s economy and society. The forum saw the signing of 47 agreements worth over $6 billion, spanning sectors ranging from energy, tourism, and infrastructure to agriculture, administration, and upgrading airports. The Saudi Minister of Investment, declared, “We are not building new bridges, we are reinforcing ancient ties.”Read More at: SANA

                              To understand any nation, especially one whose origins date back many thousands of years, we need to know something about the forces that shaped it. A positive outcome of the long history of trade, turmoil, and constant population shifts is that ancient Aram/Syria became a true melting pot, laying the foundations for a pluralistic civilization. Syria is one of the most multicultural nations in the Middle East, if not the world.

                              The Appearance of Miracles

                                In less than six months, a nation that was on the brink of failure has been revived and is undergoing a transformation, an unfathomable occurrence in the normal course of events. Signs point to the presence of a new generation of leaders, whose sole motive is to serve their people and bring peace to a region embroiled in conflict over centuries.
