The UN General Assembly adopted a proposal from Syria’s National Commission for Missing Persons to honor the role of women in searching for loved ones and discovering truth about their disappearance. Through the Athar [traces] program, the commission is strengthening measures for reporting, investigating, supporting families and involving them in the search.
