20 June 2026. UNHCR says 1.3 million Syrians returned from abroad in 2025. In March 2026, a presidential decree officially committed the state to providing suitable conditions for returning refugees and internally displaced people through rehabilitation of infrastructure and services in war-ravaged areas.
