Hind Kabawat, minister of social affairs and labor, hopeful now

    Global companies sign agreements to invest in Syria’s energy sector

      Syria signs a $7 billion deal to double its electricity supply

The Syria Power Revival Initiative, a multi-national consortium of companies from Qatar, Turkey, and the US, aims to double the energy supply in a nation facing devastating shortages. Since Assad’s overthrow, 500,000 refugees and 1.5 million internally displaced Syrians have returned home.
