The paper’s editor-in-chief stated at the opening ceremony: “Our gathering today is to witness the birth of a newspaper worthy of the new Syria, a newspaper that lives up to the sacrifices and sufferings of Syrians over 14 years.” It will foster free and transparent dialogue to restore public trust.
