3 October 2025. An international conference titled “Protecting Syrian Cultural Heritage in a Changing Political Landscape,” organized by Hungary, was held at the European Commission headquarters in Brussels. The meeting focused on analyzing the impact of current political developments on Syria’s cultural legacy and proposing strategies for preservation and restoration. Participants represented EU countries—Italy, France, Germany, Hungary, Cyprus, and Greece—as well as international organizations.
