9 January 2026. As Israel continues to violate the 1974 Syria-Israel disengagement agreement, the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force has begun conducting nightly patrols and setting up checkpoints in the northern Quneitra countryside where residents were besieged by Israeli raids, arbitrary arrests, forced displacement and property destruction.
